Team SkiProAm rides in style

SkiProAm is a professional cross-country ski team for girls only, consisting of 6 elite athletes. They compete in the SWIX Ski Classics series, which is a long distance cup for cross-country skiers.

SWIX Ski Classics events and races are broadcasted live in more than 18 countries. Among the most well-known races are Marcialonga, König Ludwig Lauf, Birkebeinerloppet and Vasaloppet. The team also competes in the famous girls’ race in Sweden, Tjejvasan, which even is being broadcasted in Swedish national TV.

Long distance cross country races are unique because both professionals and amateurs compete in the same race. The professional teams start in front and the amateurs further behind. However, all participants, amateurs and elite, ski in the same tracks. They are part of the same competition, each and everyone with their own goal.

To get in time – in style – to all the races around Europe, they ride Mercedes-Benz V-Class.

I shot this in november 2016 in Idre, just in time for the first snowfall of the season.

A skiing soul in Japan

Growing up together on the flatlands of Scania in Sweden, we probably couldn’t have dreamt this up, even as the big dreamers we were. My life-time-buddy Stefan Palm grew up to be one of Swedens first internationally certified mountain guides. With the world as his field of work, he is hunting for the best snow any given location can offer his clients. I caught up with him on Hokkaido in Japan to tell his story. In company with cinematographer Anders Klapp and writer Fredrik Dannemann, we put together this short film – nominated Kitzbühel Film Festival 2016.

People you can trust in Göteborg

Everyone driving a truck or a van know that a vehicle is as good its engine workshop. And a workshop is only as good as its individual technician.
People with knowledge. People you can trust. And you will find the likes of these in your Mercedes-Benz workshop.

Mercedes-Benz wants to raise awareness of the truck and van drivers and owners, that there are trustworthy can-do mechanics and technicians out in the field who can help you.

While scouting Sweden for great technicians, Genberg & Co shot some video of the places they visited. I have edited and put together these one-minute spots.

You can read about the campaign here: www.mercedes-benz.se/people

Grand (re)opening of the Central Station in Stockholm

When the Central Station in Stockholm was put in use, a good 150 years ago, it never had a proper opening. Usually things as important as this is opened by the King. Since the whole building was sinking into the clay foundation, a major modernization over five years put the building on steel stilts, replacing the original wooden ones, and created 15.000 sqm of new commercial area. In April this year the Crown princess Victoria finally opened the Central Station properly. I made this together with Anders Klapp @klapp.co in April 2014.
